It doesn’t feel like that long ago we were in the factory installing this digitally printed white ink graphic onto the glass panels for the Facade of the Logan Hall Residents building at Monash University in Clayton - yet here we are are reflecting on this amazing project and it’s how hard it is to miss when you pass by it.
This project involved many hours of planning and testing to ensure the longevity of this digital print as the applicated film was to be encased in each double glazed unit as it was being installed by crane to the facade of the building.
Working closely with the construction team we were able to ensure that the timeline allowed for adequate drying time between the wet application of film and onsite installation of glass that would trap the film - as well as any residual moisture that wasn’t allowed to dry fully. As some may well be aware, trapped moisture within a double glazed unit can result in unwanted haze or fogging which is exactly what we were trying to avoid.
While this style of application has it’s risks and it’s not our preferred method of installation, it did achieve the exact look that the designers and architects were trying to achieve and the sheer scale of impact the design has as you pass it on one of the main drives of the Clayton campus is outstanding.
So if you have a seemingly un-achievable installation or you simply want to bring some personality and wow-factor to the front of your business, be sure to contact us for a free measure and quote!
Footy fever has well and truly taken hold in Melbourne and what better way to ignite some team spirit than by doing a locker room and club room re-vamp!
North Melbourne Football Club have been hard at work refurbishing their players locker rooms as well as the graphics on the external windows of their club rooms and the results are definitely full of team spirit.
While our staff may be divided on who they follow in the AFL ranks we can all at least agree that the end result of this project is definitely top of the ladder!
A couple of weeks ago you may have seen a video of the above signs being printed and here they are in action!
The Mothers Day Classic for Toongabbie and Traralgon went off without a hitch on Sunday and we would like to congratulate all the participants who took part as well as the organisers for their stellar efforts in putting it all together.
This annual event commences with simultaneous start lines approximately 15km apart, one in Toongabbie and the other in Traralgon. Participants then walk either 6km or 9km towards each other to meet up at the finish line in Glengarry where there is live entertainment, as well as food stalls, and prize draws.
We hope that the colourful and inspirational signs we supplied helped to motivate people as they past one every few kilometers on their walk or run.
Nature has been an inspiration for design for as long as design has been a concept, and our latest inspiration looks somewhat like a geometric ‘Fern’ that could add a new dimension to your office fit out.
Depending on your space and current furnishings the stark lineal approach to this pattern could offer a really bold contrast while at the same time remain in line with your company style and focus.

Frosted film is one of Tint Design’s most popular base films for maintaining natural light while ensuring privacy within an office space. In this instance, CoInvest took advantage of the film to create a visually appealing custom graphic of Melbourne for their city center office.
By creating ‘wow factor’ when you enter a reception area a graphic like this will draw people's attention and provide an immediate conversation starter, it’s also a great backdrop for team photos that you can share to social media that will always have your logo or branding conveniently placed in the background.
Think of it like a permanent yet artistic media wall!
At the end of last year we announced that we had added two new Mimaki five-layer UV printers to our machinery inventory and we couldn’t be happier with the new scope of printing options we can offer to our clients.
The Healthy Grain recently took advantage of our five layer printing capabilities for a graphic on their conference room, throughout this design the logo is ‘positive’ on both sides of the glass i.e. no matter which side you are looking at no one is seeing the logo text in reverse.
It’s not just this kind of trickery that is achievable on a single piece of film that we love about these machines, the vibrancy of the colours, the range of colour density and their speed - Wow!

Geosmog is a unique design that can be found among our ever-growing list of geometric patterns within our Tint Design - Design Range Catalogue.
Used in this context, as a Privacy Band throughout a small office space, the alternating opacity within the design allows for privacy without completely blocking the view between spaces. A solid frost band can, in some spaces, close off an area like a solid wall which is great if that’s what you need but can be confining if your office space isn’t very big.

While Melbourne is Moomba mad we thought we’d revisit one of our favorite graphics and precision cut projects from last year - Open Universities Australia.
The quirky interior design of this fitout saw every communal work space decorated with its own unique and striking digitally printed wall graphic or precision cut quote and stenciled graphic. Like the Moomba Festival, this fitout inspires creativity and champions those who shape our artistic and cultural landscape - it is through those who inspire that a new generation of leaders and entrepreneurs are born - and we love how bright, colourful and inspiring this project turned out.
With Summer coming to a end and Autumn around the corner, we thought we would celebrate the end of season with a new design.
We’ve been noticing natural and light graphics are a growing trend for interior fitouts, with the inspiration of the outdoors coming into working environments to encourage productivity and employee satisfaction. This was the inspiration behind our new addition to the design range called ‘Glide’. Digitally printing white onto frost brings out the tiny details that make this design so unique and lifelike.
