A bold facade in the heart of Shepparton

It is with great pride that we can finally share with you one of our larger projects of 2017 - the striking south facade of the brand new Shepparton Law Courts that were officially opened on Friday March 23, 2018 by The Honourable Martin Pakula MP, Attorney-General, in the presence of the Chief Magistrate, His Honour Judge Peter Lauritsen.
It was with great pleasure that Tint Design worked along side ADCO Constructions to realise the extraordinary vision of the south facade that was cleverly designed by the team at Architectus. Of the $73 million dollar project this incredibly detailed facade is the result of many hours of cutting, weeding, application and installation of hundreds of lineal meters of precision cut film to hundreds of square meters of glass.
After an extensive review of the building timeline and access restrictions it was decided that the entirety of this install would take place prior to the glass being installed to the building. The seemingly random placing of the seven different frit-pattern designs had to match their corresponding glass unit but were installed out of order depending on when the units arrived to the warehouse. This installation puzzle was just one element of the many challenges of taking on a project of this size however our production team worked seamlessly and around the clock to bring this one element of this exceptional design to life.

A Wall Wrap for First Wrap

Refurbished Hawthorn offices for Colonial First State First Wrap are coming along beautifully with the first of three floors completed and in working order.

The vibrant and uplifting wallpaper graphic that we recently installed has really tied together all the elements of the relaxed but productivity focused layout. We love how the designer has incorporated such a bold wall design with the use of natural wood tones in the furniture and tied some of the many colours from the graphic into the soft furnishings throughout the office as well.

In this instance, traditional wallpaper has been used as the base product to which we printed this gorgeous design in panels. Out skilled installers then installed the product using a water based wallpaper adhesive that results in a really smooth and near seamless finish (without the usual overlapped joins).

This wall is a great example of how to champion a feature wall within a work-space without overwhelming the design or understating the rest of the fit out. The team at FDC Construction and Fitout have done an extraordinary job with this project and we at Tint Design are so excited to have been a part of bringing it all to life.

What a Relief!

We’ve touched a little on acoustics in the past however the feedback of late has identified that there are many of our clients out there who still don’t know that we can supply, install, print onto, and precision cut acoustic paneling.

The pictures above are just a small example of a combination of our services applied to acoustic products. The relief effect used in both these examples shows how, with a little imagination, this product can not only add a warm and decorative finish to your fit-out but perhaps even a three dimensional one as well!

We have been surprised and inspired by the outstanding versatility of this product and look forward to helping you realise your next acoustic panel design.

Cork – it’s been put in bottles and on shoes, so why not on your walls!

It seems cork is making a comeback in interior design 2017 and Tint Design has been quick to respond. Recently we’ve seen popularity with wallpaper and acoustic panels being used as wall treatments and with texture being such an important component of interior design, cork seems to be another visual impact option having the ability to be a warm and striking feature.

Like acoustic panels the product is lightweight and has a textural element. However with its other common feature being the ability to double up as a pin board, we’re predicting cork will a popular wall treatment for the workplace or learning environments.

As with many glass or wall product trends, Tint Design is excited to be able to add our touch to it by taking the product from impressive to fabulous!! We’ve been digitally printing on some cork samples lately with a range of designs and the results have been really exciting! We believe that if you want a different look for your fit-out, digitally printed cork panels adhered to your wall may be the solution you were seeking.

We’re still ironing out the creases in regards to production on this but we’ll be ready to add it to our ever-growing list of products and services very soon. In the meantime feel free to contact us at Tint Design for a free sample and we will be more than happy to have one of our Reps come out and show you what all the fuss is about.
