New Design for April by Cassie Blomquist

Fern_Design-01.jpg

Nature has been an inspiration for design for as long as Design has been a concept, and our latest inspiration looks somewhat like a geometric ‘Fern’ that could add a new dimension to your office fit out.

Depending on your space and current furnishings the stark lineal approach to this pattern could offer a really bold contrast while at the same time remain in line with your company style and focus.

An impressive Cityscape at CoInvest by Cassie Blomquist

Blog_Image-01.jpg

Frosted Film is one of Tint Design’s most popular base films for maintaining natural light while ensuring privacy within an office space. In this instance, CoInvest took advantage of the film to create a visually appealing custom graphic of Melbourne for their city center office.

By creating ‘wow factor’ when you enter a reception area a graphic like this will draw people's attention and provide an immediate conversation starter, it’s also a great backdrop for team photos that you can share to social media that will always have your logo or branding conveniently placed in the background.

Think of it like a permanent yet artistic media wall!

A Fabulous Five Layer Field by Cassie Blomquist

At the end of last year we announced that we had added two new Mimaki five-layer UV printers to our machinery inventory and we couldn’t be happier with the new scope of printing options we can offer to our clients.

The Healthy Grain recently took advantage of our five layer printing capabilities for a graphic on their conference room, throughout this design the logo is ‘positive’ on both sides of the glass i.e. no matter which side you are looking at no one is seeing the logo text in reverse.

It’s not just this kind of trickery that is achievable on a single piece of film that we love about these machines, the vibrancy of the colours, the range of colour density and their speed - Wow!

Geosmog - a TD Design at Work! by Cassie Blomquist

Geosmog-01.jpg

Geosmog is a unique design that can be found among our ever-growing list of geometric patterns within our Tint Design - Design Range Catalogue.

Used in this context, as a Privacy Band throughout a small office space, the alternating opacity within the design allows for privacy without completely blocking the view between spaces. A solid frost band can, in some spaces, close off an area like a solid wall which is great if that’s what you need but can be confining if your office space isn’t very big.

Gliding through Summer! by Cassie Blomquist

Gliding-01.jpg

With Summer coming to a end and Autumn around the corner, we thought we would celebrate the end of season with a new design.

We’ve been noticing natural and light graphics are a growing trend for interior fitouts, with the inspiration of the outdoors coming into working environments to encourage productivity and employee satisfaction. This was the inspiration behind our new addition to the design range called ‘Glide’. Digitally Printing white onto Frost brings out the tiny details that make this design so unique and lifelike.

Be sure to check out our Pinterest page, we are constantly uploading new designs on there every month with the hope it gives you some inspiration for your next project!

Striking graphics and entrance signage for Surge Direct by Cassie Blomquist

Tint Design’s advanced range of Digital Printing and Signage making services were combined to make this striking reception sign at Surge Direct’s head office.

The impact of this full colour graphic with the use of a fade-out effect onto optically clear film creates a bold statement to clients and employees of Surge Direct. With that being said, full cover graphics can be a striking feature when its printed to either optically clear film, wallpaper or high gloss vinyl and applied to glass or plastered walls.

Along with digital printing, signage can also leave a striking impression on clients and employees. Many of our clients are unaware that Tint Design can produce a range of digital printing, Precision Cut and 3D lettering signage.

While our in-house signage making capabilities are impressive at Tint Design, we also have an extensive network of specialist fabricators that we often work with to produce the best quality signage manufactured to your exact specifications.

Introducing Squid - a brand new product! by Cassie Blomquist

Squid-01-02.jpg

Is it a film? Is it fabric? It’s one that acts like the other!

Squid is a self-adhesive translucent textile for window treatment. Basically, it’s fabric that you can stick to glass, and it’s amazing!

This new product to hit Australian shores is from Belgium and bridges the gap between window film and blinds to solve privacy issues.

It comes in five neutral colours; Chalk, Bone, Oak, Ash and Rock which on their own are elegant and sophisticated. However, by teaming it up with our Tint Design services, we are also able to Digitally Print onto the Squid product to create custom and unique window treatments.

If you would like to see the Squid range or discuss it’s benefits further, please contact our team at Tint Design and we will be happy to come and meet with you.

A Homey Atmosphere for the Residents at Melville Aged Care by Cassie Blomquist

Melville Aged Care-03.jpg

The inspiration for this fitout was to create a feeling of warmth and comfort where residents can relax in a homey atmosphere and steer away from the typical ‘hospital look’.

Tint Design collaborated with BFN Developments to deliver a friendly and welcoming environment for residents to live in. This was achieved by Digitally Printing a white ink silhouette onto optically clear film. This feature window separates the dining area from the kitchen prep area but connects the two making them look fun and interesting rather than merely functional.

More Fun In The Office by Cassie Blomquist

Tylers Office-02.jpg

Custom printed wallpaper or vinyl can immediately transform a space from drab to dramatic!

As you can see above we had a bit of fun dressing up the dull corner that is occupied by our head of production and as this is such a prominent space we wanted something fun but had to think carefully about our colour selection - here's why.

As well as brightening up an office space a thoughtful colour selection can have a lasting positive effect on staff productivity. Although each colour has a separate appeal we thought we would look into the psychology of colours in a workplace and how they can benefit our production team in the long term.

The colour red, can encourage feelings of excitement that increases brain activity which is great, however when choosing this colour it should be used as an accent and not a feature as an over saturation of this shade is known to have the adverse effect.

Orange and yellow are seen as happy colours and can energise employees which influences productivity. Yellow invokes a welcoming atmosphere and encourages us to tap into our creative sides while orange breeds enthusiasm. Again however when using these colours they too have a more positive effect when used in moderation.

While using blue and green help you feel calm and relaxed they can also create the feeling of sadness when using darker hues so it is highly recommended to steer away from including large areas of deep, dark, cool tones.

Finally, purple is a colour that creates a great impression when entering a room and is also known for encouraging imagination - a colour that we definitely wanted to incorporate in this design.

We love how this graphic turned out and hope that it inspires some of you to take a look at your own work space and see how adding a splash of colour within your line of sight might change your level of focus throughout the day!
