An electric event!

Melbourne’s first AIS Equinox event for 2019 was anything but a small affair. Not only did exhibitors exceed expectations with their stands and presentations, but the attendee record was amazing!

There was such a buzz in the room all night and it was great to meet so many new people as well as re-connect with many familiar faces.

For those who didn't quite get there on Thursday, not to worry, you'll have a chance to see us again at the Evolution event at the Carlton Exhibition buildings in October and for any Sydney siders make sure you drop in on us at the Sydney Evolution event in September!

As always, if you require any further information on any of our products or services please drop us a line at admin@tintdesign.com.au or book a time that is convenient for you and your team and we'll put together a presentation tailored to your interests.

Getting Creative with Acoustic Panels

More fun in the office!

As you can see above, acoustic paneling has endless possibilities. You can combine the product’s range of colours and thickness, and custom cut them to any shape desired. We wanted to have some fun and experiment in this space which has been a major success!

Acoustic panels are an extremely popular wall finishing solution and a vital part of many fitouts. At Tint Design we can turn a dull room into a statement one, by using our Vision Effex and Precision Cutting services. The design possibilities are limitless for creating stand out features from a practical substrate.

We love how this office turned out and we hope we have inspired you to bring out your creative side.

Another Sydney success!

Once again we have moved out of Melbourne, this time installing our work in Sydney!

Teaming up with Contour Interiors, we achieved this highly motivating and stylish design for Care Super in Sydney.

An open office space is an on-going trend which highly influences employee productivity and employee engagement, with that being said eliminating privacy doesn't have to be the only option.

Care Super's office fit-out is a great example of an open office space that still has a privacy aspect to it. Contour Interiors left it to our design team to create the final design which was carried throughout the fit-out on both clear and frost film. Both create the illusion of privacy, however still function as a open office space.

Tint Design are forever exceeding our clients expectations and we are excited for what future projects may have in store!

a splash of colour for open universities australia

As abstract painter Hans Hofmann once said ‘Colours must fit together as pieces in a puzzle or cogs in a wheel’ and that’s exactly what Open Universities Australia achieved with this bold and vivacious design.

Every room within this fit-out has a different story to tell which creates an exciting workplace for all employees and an obvious talking point for new visitors to the space.

A mix of print and application techniques have been used on this project to maximise on the boldness and use of colour. Sometimes a cut vinyl film will have a more vibrant hue whereas a custom printed wallpaper can add character and texture to a space, ultimately it comes down to choosing the right technique that will champion your design.

As our suppliers are continuously creating new materials and products for us to play with, this in-turn gives us the opportunity to experiment with new printing and finishing techniques that we can offer you.

Tap into your inner creativity with a new design

Daylight savings has come to an end and Autumn has arrived. The leaves are transforming through various shades of green to their autumnal hues before falling to create a thick and playful carpet over our parks and sidewalks. It is this inspiring natural playground that gave our production team plenty of inspiration for this new Design.

Having an eye-catching design in a workplace can have more of a positive influence than many people realise. This design for example, would allow staff and visitors to your office to unconsciously tap into their creative side. This silent but visual influence is what can create productivity and communicates a welcoming and pleasant environment within your daily work space.

An eye-catching way of using this design is to Digitally Print it on clear film for a transparent effect or onto Frost Film to create privacy within in a room that has a creative flare.

A Grand Design for Grand Pacific Tours

The smallest detail can have the greatest impact within a space. So something as simple as a Precision Cut pattern on Frost Film can separate you from other businesses and designs by making your fit-out more personalised and unique.

Here at Tint Design we have a range of Designs that you can choose from when selecting a Precision Cut pattern, or,  you may have an idea of your own that we can create for you.

Grant Pacific Tours have selected a design that not only serves it's primary function, being Privacy Bands to their meeting spaces, but also allows the perfect amount of light into their conference room. The Precision Cut band that breaks the top of the panel creates a decorative element but also allows the space to maintain an open feel.

There is no challenge too great or small at Tint Design – please contact our office if you are interested in frost film for your office fitout!

Earlier this year one of our regular clients, Contour Interiors, moved to a brand new set of offices in the Melbourne CBD and Tint Design had the pleasure of contributing to their incredible fitout.

For this job it was the contribution that our in-house design team were able to make throughout their collaboration with Contour’s own designers that we are particularly proud of.

This site had a variety requirements whether it be practical or environmental however each challenge was met with a number of options and we think the results speak for themselves.

While this space was already of an exceptional design quality, we are pleased to have contributed such a prominent feature within the overall scope of the fitout.

A Wall Wrap for First Wrap

Refurbished Hawthorn offices for Colonial First State First Wrap are coming along beautifully with the first of three floors completed and in working order.

The vibrant and uplifting wallpaper graphic that we recently installed has really tied together all the elements of the relaxed but productivity focused layout. We love how the designer has incorporated such a bold wall design with the use of natural wood tones in the furniture and tied some of the many colours from the graphic into the soft furnishings throughout the office as well.

In this instance, traditional wallpaper has been used as the base product to which we printed this gorgeous design in panels. Out skilled installers then installed the product using a water based wallpaper adhesive that results in a really smooth and near seamless finish (without the usual overlapped joins).

This wall is a great example of how to champion a feature wall within a work-space without overwhelming the design or understating the rest of the fit out. The team at FDC Construction and Fitout have done an extraordinary job with this project and we at Tint Design are so excited to have been a part of bringing it all to life.

Dare to be different

Just because it’s law it doesn’t mean it has to be boring. Safety Decals, Warning Bands, Compliance Decals - they have many names - though whatever you call them they are an opportunity not a hindrance.

The Australian Standard AS 1428.1-2009* states that;
“any glazing capable of being mistaken for a doorway or opening, shall be clearly marked for their full width with a solid and non-transparent contrasting line. The contrasting line shall be not less than 75 mm wide and shall extend across the full width of the glazing panel.
The lower edge of the contrasting line shall be located between 900 mm and 1000 mm above the plane of the finished floor level.
Any contrasting line on the glazing shall provide a minimum of 30% luminance contrast when viewed against the floor surface or surfaces within two meters of the gazing on the opposite side.”

While it has been a trend in years gone by to slap up some 75mm frost decals throughout a new build just because it’s a ‘safe’ choice in both design and (what used to be) compliance, it doesn’t mean you have to follow the crowd… 2017 is the year to be bold!

Since the rules have become much stricter in regard to the 30% contrast between your decal colour and the background colour, Tint Design has put together a series of free designs to add interest to your new build or fit-out, and our Safety Decal designs are compliant when precision cut from a solid vinyl or digitally printed in the appropriately contrasting colour to a solid, frost, or optically clear film.

It would be easy to talk all day about the endless possibilities when it comes to Safety Decals but I guess the ultimate point in both life and building compliance is, when you follow the crowd you’re wasting your opportunity to stand out!
