Carmel & Mark Basilone.

Biggin Scott’s new office in Moonee Ponds is the next chapter in owner Mark Basilone’s real estate career.  Mark embarked on his journey with Biggin Scott in 2002 working in sales. Only four years later in 2006, he ventured into opening his own Biggin Scott office in Maribyrnong.  The business ran successfully there for many years until Mark made the strategic decision to move into Essendon heartland a decision that aligns very closely in his role as the President of the Essendonians, the AFL’s largest private Coterie.

The main goal of this project, was to transform the Essendon office into a modern and inviting workspace while respecting the heritage overlay restrictions on external alterations. Mark's vision was to create an interior that promoted teamwork and collaboration, breaking away from traditional real estate office norms. Biggin Scott Real Estate aimed for an environment that felt both contemporary and relaxed, fostering open and collaborative interactions among employees and clients.

See below how Tint Design helped Biggin Scott customise their office:

  • office meeting room with reeded window film installed in black

    1. Custom Black Reeded Film

Tint Design employed a custom black reeded film onto the main meeting rooms to create an innovative solution that simultaneously offered privacy in a privacy band while enhancing the overall design aesthetic. This design element added an intriguing visual dimension to the space, ensuring privacy without sacrificing style.

  • 2. Matte Black Safety Decals in Office

The use of matte black safety bands onto all of the individual offices, complemented the overall design, adding a sleek and sophisticated touch to the office environment. This choice was both functional and visually appealing, enhancing the overall aesthetics of the office and ensuring the safety of those who enter the office.

  • 3. Custom Cut Acrylic Screens

Tint Design worked closely with Biggin Scott Real Estate to create custom-designed acrylic screens that fit seamlessly into the office's open-plan layout. These screens helped in maintaining a sense of openness while providing functional divisions within the office.

  • 4. Anti-Vandal Film

Given the office's proximity to a train station and in a risk of having the windows graffitied, Tint Design installed anti-vandal film on the windows to protect them from potential vandalism. This security measure ensured the longevity of the windows and the overall office design.

  • 5. Window Films for Privacy

The internal windows of the offices and meeting rooms were treated with Tint Design's White TD100 film to create privacy whilst meeting with clients for a modern and fresh feel all while allowing natural light to enter through the rooms
    .

  • 6. Custom Braille Signage

Tint Design enhanced Biggin & Scott's office interior with custom Braille signs, seamlessly integrating accessibility. The thoughtful addition not only prioritizes inclusivity but also elevates the overall aesthetic appeal.
